The changes have been done during the past two weeks (see the exact date for each model). bmrc ---- * bmrc_[0fix, 6fix] runs will soon be updated. ccc2.0 ------ * ccc2.0_21fix has been ADDED to the base. [ 11/19/98 ] climber2 -------- * climber2_[0fix, 6fix, 0cal, 21cal] runs have been ADDED to the base. [ 11/23/98 ] Note to VCS users : due to the coarse grid of the climber2 variables, you should use the following script lines to read a variable into VCS : A_sftland(File="climber2_0fix_sftland_ca_map.nc", Name="sftland",XName="longitude", YName="latitude",XKwrap=(0,0),XCycle=0, xfirst=0,yfirst=-90,xlast=360,ylast=90) For the same reason, VCS won't be able to display the variable on an interval that is not a subset of [0, 360[. If you want to use another kind of interval (e.g. [-180, 180[), you will have to change the 'longitude' variable (and the actual data accordingly). cnrm-2 ------ * cnrm-2_6fix was WRONG and has been REPLACED. [ 11/19/98 ] The CO2 concentration in this simulation was not set as intended to its preindustrial value, but was erroneously kept at the same value as in the control simulation cnrm-2_0fix. echam3 ------ * echam3_21fix was WRONG and has been REPLACED. [ 11/18/98 ] The previous run was using CLIMAP LGM SST instead of the required PMIP boundary condition Present Day SST (AMIP) + ('CLIMAP LGM SST' - 'CLIMAP PD SST') giss-iip -------- * The giss-iip_[0fix, 6fix] runs were wrong and have been REPLACED. [ 11/20/98 ] The surface radiation scheme used for the control and 6K did not conserve energy and lead to anomalous results. uiuc11 ------ * the uiuc11_[0fix, 6fix]_[cs, cm, vs, vm]_3d variables have been corrected. [ 11/19/98 ] The 'pressure level' and 'time' dimensions had been switched. yonu ---- * yonu_[0fix, 6fix] runs have been REPLACED. [ 11/19/98 ] The algorithm used to compute insolation was wrong. Minor changes ============= ccc2.0 ------ * ccc2.0_21cal : rsdt (shortwave down at TOA) and rsut ( shortwave up at TOA) were wrong and have been corrected. [ 26/11/98 ] msu --- * msu_[0fix, 6fix, 21fix]_sftland_ca_map variables have been added to the base. [ 11/19/98 ] Minor bugs ========== giss-iip -------- * The values of pmsl (mean sea level pressure) submitted to PMIP are in hPa - 1000. * The sign of rsus (surface reflected shortwave radiation) is wrong. mri2 ---- * WARNING! An SST boundary condition ERROR was found in mri2_21fix over the high-latitude North Atlantic. The SST was wrongly fixed to 271.3K (sea-ice freezing temperature in MRI model) over the region from Iceland to Labrador (about 50N-60N, 20W-50W) for all months.
